Realizing that salvation is by God’s grace through faith, the student gladly received the Lord Jesus as his Savior.
But a strange thing happened as he went back to his fraternity house.
Jesus spoke about the coming of the Holy Spirit (Luke ), and He told them that it would be their task to be His witnesses. Luke said that Jesus led His disciples to Bethany (v.50), and as He was blessing them He was “carried up into heaven” (v.51).
“I have no right to keep that to myself,” he exclaimed. Being a missionary was the ultimate calling—nothing could be more noble or admirable.
He met a friend and told him of his newfound faith in Christ.
Before the day was over, he had testified to every one of his fraternity brothers about Jesus.
